‘Python Foundation Course’ was Official Started, the First Training Course on Financial Big Data in Newhuadu Business School

Recently, financial industry is deeply integrates with information technology, the Internet mindset and decisional digitalisation has begun to be embedded in the entire process of the managerial operation, which can provides comprehensive, accurate and real-time information supports of decision-making. On 11st April, in order to assist students to familiarize practical applications of information technology in the big data, and then enhances competitive advantages of graduate students, NBS prepares positively first training course of financial big data (Python Foundation Course) to students.


The first training course was conducted by offline teaching method, which was mainly concentrated on the NBS’s students. In deep, the tutor, Shengkai Yang, coming from Information Center of NBS, became the teacher. Tutor Yang utilized both theoretic and practical teaching ways to enhance students’ academic knowledges and applied capabilities. In addition, the tutor’s assistant, Kun Pan, helped tutor Yang to answer questions from students on spot as well. Meanwhile, the course was tracked learning situations of students after the lecture, and then answered student’s questions in the way of class groups. It is displays that through comprehensive exercises, practical competencies of students are improved.


Python, as a relatively easier programming language, is widely used in various fields of financial engineering. In order to improve the proficiency degree of students, the coursework is includes 16 lessons, which is combines theory with practice. It is helps students to establish object-oriented programming and programmable design mindset. After the course, students will possess basic programming abilities and framework ideas, which is provides foundation for further training course of financial big data.
